The Best Little League Game Ever

This is a group called Improv Everywhere, and their mission is to “cause scenes of chaos and joy in public places.”  Among their stunts is “Mobile Desktop” wherein players arrived at Starbucks with desktop computers and CRT monitors and worked at their computers as if they were laptops.  Another favorite is “Frozen Grand Central,” where 200 of them froze in place for five seconds in the main concourse of Grand Central Station in New York City.

In this mission, two Little League teams in Hermosa Beach, California, meet for a regular season game. But as the Mudcats and Lugnuts take the field, the stands fill with screaming fans. A booming voice announces the batting order, complete with each player’s real nickname. A camera crew broadcasts the game on a stadium-sized JumboTron. And that’s just the beginning.

Watch the players’ smiles. This truly was their best game ever.
